Marks & Spencer — Web Platform

Defined FY25/26 strategy for a ~£2bn eCommerce platform; accelerated seasonal microsite launches, uplifted developer experience, and safeguarded performance via major Next.js/React upgrades. These changes improved agility during peak trading and enhanced M&S’s long‑term digital resilience.

QinetiQ - Cloud Product Platform

Built a product‑led Cloud Infrastructure function; enabled secure on‑prem → cloud migration across regions; introduced telemetry‑based KPIs and governance. The initiative modernised defence‑grade IT, ensuring both compliance and operational efficiency.

2021–2023

Kaluza (OVO Energy) — Scaling up Kafka, Quality Engineering, DevEx

Launched Kafka‑based platform underpinning services for millions of households; established Developer Experience and Quality Engineering product teams. The work enabled Kaluza’s entry into new markets and validated its SaaS platform credentials.

Tesco — Clubcard Loyalty

Optimised redemption UX and re‑platformed ROI experience; ~20% lift in engagement. Showed how thoughtful product design can make loyalty programmes faster, simpler and more rewarding.

Molo Finance — Growth & New Categories

Shaped entry into new mortgage categories; defined KPIs/OKRs and journeys supporting £100m+ projected originations. Supported the company in scaling towards Series B readiness.

2019–2021

NewsUK (The Times & Sunday Times)— Editorial Tooling & Planning

Curation CMS and newsroom transformation (Times & Sunday Times); halved time‑to‑publish and unified design/system across tooling. This digital transformation reshaped how editors plan, curate and distribute content.

2017–2019

Hive (Centrica) — Connected Home

Launched Hive Homeshield (award‑winning smart monitoring); Led Ecosystem Expansion (e.g., Apple HomeKit, Philips Hue), led React Native app re-write for Device Control functionality + record customer satisfaction levels. Work that positioned Hive as a leader in connected home innovation.

2016-2017

HSBC — Global Internet Banking

Relaunched digital banking across multiple regions (incl. M&S Bank, HSBC UAE, Hang Seng); +25–35% active use; introduced digital account opening. These upgrades improved customer trust and digital adoption at scale.

2015-2016

BBC — Account SSO & Personalisation

Delivered the first unified BBC ID/Account; +20% engagement and faster cross‑estate personalisation. This created a foundation for personalised media experiences across the BBC.

2013- 2015

Sky - OTT VoD Platform

Defined and delivered VoD/metadata platform powering Sky Q, Sky Go (and subsequently, Peacock); ~60% reduction in publish time for key journeys. Strengthened Sky’s ability to compete in global on‑demand streaming.

2012-2013

Pearson — Global DAM

Product management for an enterprise DAM rollout; roadmap, taxonomy/rich media scope; 40% backlog rationalisation. This laid the groundwork for Pearson’s global content management capability as well as ~50% time reduction within the Editorial workflow

NBC Universal — Digital Cinema (VPF) Programme

End to End leadership across all international territories for what is widely acknowledged as a landmark industry shift from celluloid film to a full digital cinema experience - transforming the whole digital supply chain.
